Popular Top 10 Floral Designs »

Hand-knotted floral design oriental rugs are one of the most unique and cherished categories of rugs.

They have been around for longer than one can ever imagine and are a timeless piece of art that never goes out of style. Moreover, they have always stood the test of time and are widely popular around the world.

Now let’s talk about the designs of these rugs.

When we say “floral” the first thing that comes into our mind is flowers. It’s literally what the word means so hence it’s easy to guess that it’s closely associated with nature.

The design composition in these rugs contains curvilinear patterns around a central medallion. This central medallion hence revolves around the symbols of nature, culture and religion.

The flora along with the geometric designs of carpets have been popular for the last millennia. These carpets are placed in living rooms, dining room, bedrooms, foyer and also under the coffee table rugs.

As a leading oriental carpets manufacturer in Mumbai; along with the 2000+ ready in-stock carpets at our Mumbai based World Trade Center, we offer complete customisation of the rugs.

Materials »

If you ask us, the material is one of the most predominant factors that determine the pricing of an oriental rug. Almost half of the pricing of an oriental rug depends on the choice of material. The use of natural fibres like wool and silk is involved in the making of oriental rugs. They are usually made from 100% pure Merino wool and pure natural Mulberry silk, but also the blend of two.

And these materials are known to be expensive due to their nature. Good material, without a doubt, will cost you a lot. The proportions of wool and silk you opt for while choosing a blend of two or just silk also determines the pricing of oriental rugs. Both materials are costly, especially silk.

We don’t craft low-quality rugs from some cheap materials and try to ‘over charge’ our global and domestic customers, who have been buying from us for over decades: online as well as offline.

Now you can’t expect any low-level quality material to give you the benefits of lasting a lifetime as the good quality ones do? How is any low-quality material supposed to give you the benefits of pure merino wool? The better the material, the longer it lasts and the more it costs.

Size »

The size one chooses for the oriental rug decides its cost. The bigger the size, the more time it takes to craft and hence the increases in labour. The more material one has to use. It is one of the factors that decide the other two factors.

Large carpets like those measuring over 14 feet by 18 feet; typically take 12-16 weeks depending on the design, motifs and materials used to craft it.

Typically a team of weavers along with a master craftsman spends weeks/months to create a world-class unique masterpiece.

Design and Production Time »

When we talk about oriental rugs, the first thing that comes into our mind is the oriental design. The name itself suggests the design and the design defines an oriental rug. Oriental rugs stand out a lot from the rest of the rugs due to their beautiful range of designs. So if you cherish traditional design, this can be your go-to option.

Oriental rugs have the most complex design patterns and motifs. This design takes a lot of time and skill level. Since these rugs are handwoven on a loom, it takes more production time in comparison to the contemporary rugs that are hand-tufted and made on machines.

Uniqueness »

Each oriental rug crafted by our artisans is a unique piece. There are no two pieces alike.

Since each rug is crafted individually, it is practically impossible to craft a twin!

This allows us to craft customised oriental rugs as per the requirements of our discerning clients.
