The featured rug of today, Lantana Qum, lovingly hand-knotted by Nusrat and Rania, who are the fourth generation of award-winning artists and are born and raised in the pristine land of Kashmir, is our homage to the master artist, Leonardo da Vinci.
The Lantana Qum, made of the most decadent of mulberry silk yarns, has taken nine months to be produced and another six weeks for washing and finishing on the banks of the lilting Jhelum.
Just like Leonardo’s artworks are transcendental and have defied the trends of the past hundreds of years, similarly, our rugs have a life of their own, and are free-spirited in the truest sense of the term.
