But first, let us discuss the difference between handmade and hand-knotted:

Rugs are classified in a variety of ways, including design, country of origin, natural or synthetic fabric, and, most importantly, whether they are hand-knotted or handmade. There are even high-value machine-made rugs, but that is a different classification.

The corridor rugs are available in floral as well as geometric designs.

The defining difference between the two is, hand-knotted rugs are created by a master rug weaver tying loops of wool with a knot around the rug’s wefts, using only their hands and a few hand tools to tap the rows down and cut the yarn.

A handcrafted rug, on the other hand, uses wool fibre and a weaver, but the weaver places the knots in the wefts with the help of a tool, which also ties the knot. Because the weaver utilises a machine tool but works with their hands, the handmade rug can be considered handmade. Hand-knotted rugs require a professional weaver to construct the design from a cartoon, whereas handmade wefts are usually guided by a pattern drawn on the wefts.

In most situations, the fringe on the end of the rug will be machine sewed for handmade rugs, while the fringe on hand-knotted rugs is tied by the weaver with the leftover Weft, and they select the fringe look. A handmade rug’s side cords are also machine-made, and in the case of hand-knotted rugs, the weaver carefully wraps additional wool around the side cord and finishes it by hand.

Both handmade and hand-knotted rugs are unique in their ways. So it doesn’t make much difference if you choose any for your corridor among the two.

Also, you can opt for the customisation feature of our corridor rugs. You heard it right! You can customise a handmade and hand-knotted corridor rug of your choice the way you want it.

You can create an art piece of your own by getting a rug in a fibre of your own choice, opt for either handmade or hand-knotted, pick a colour, design and size suitable for your corridor.
